Privacy policy

Which data

About your business: name, town, address, phone number, website, opening hours, services and other details you confirm. These are usually not personal data, unless your business carries your own name.

About you: your email address, to log in and to send your reports. When you pay, Stripe processes your payment details; we do not see them.

About the check: the questions we ask, the answers of AI assistants and the sources they mention.

On the coming-soon list: your email address, the language of the page, when you signed up and the sentence with which you gave consent.

Why

To carry out the check, fix errors, email you about your report and invoice your subscription. After a free check we send you a reminder after 7 and after 21 days. Every email has an unsubscribe link; after that we send nothing more. The legal basis is the agreement with you, and for a free check our legitimate interest in being able to give you a report.

If you put yourself on the coming-soon list, we email you when Vidalo opens. No newsletter and no advertising for anything else. The basis is your consent; you withdraw it by emailing hello@vidalo.io, and we then take your address off the list.

With whom we share data

Supabase (database and login, storage in the EU). OpenAI, Google, Perplexity and SerpAPI to ask the questions; we only send business details, no email addresses. Google and the KvK to find your business. Stripe for payments. Resend for email. Cloudflare for your facts page.

Some of these parties process data outside the EU. That happens on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long

A report from a free check can be seen through the link for 30 days. We keep the data of a paid plan for as long as you are a customer. 90 days after your subscription ends we do one more free check; after that we only keep what the law requires for invoices.

We keep the coming-soon list until we have emailed everyone about the opening; then we delete it. If you unsubscribe earlier, we take you off at once.

Your rights

You may access your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object. Email us; we respond within a month. If you disagree with us, you can file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
